Primary oil transferring to oil pan

Hi , my ride 1989 FLHS with over 150,000 m, I began having this problem for quite while and did change crankshaft seal and sleeve, put RTV black high temp silicone on every bolts that is connection to the block, put black RTV between iner primary and engine block, there are no visible crack on the block and from my knowledge there is a constant pressure in the engine that should push engine oil in the primary and not the opposite, if someone ran in this problème before I will really appreciate the input

Hi Claude, as your bike is an Evo I recommend you visit the Evo section, where you will find plenty of members able to offer help. Your problem is well known and you should get some helpful advice.

There is not constant pressure in the crankcase, it is normally less than ambient pressure which would cause the primary lube to be drawn into the engine, however this is not always the case.

Bad seal
Bad spacer
Missing or unsealed screws holding alternator wiring
Loose outer race in left side crankcase (well known issue for `89 cases)
