I have a 1978 FLH Electra Glide. A friend of mine talked me into removing the oil lines from the tank to the primary, so the primary oil wouldn't circulate through the motor oil. Now there is a bunch of pressure in the primary, coming from who knows where, so now I can't keep the primary cover sealed good enough to keep it from leaking. How to fix it?

I ran an open belt on my 79 rigid so Im no help either. It sounds as if you may still have a line hooked up to the primary if your building pressure. I dont know why you couldnt just vent it somehow but then again, you shouldnt have to really.
