Default Primary oil

Hi, I'm doing a bit of work on a friends 1976 FLH 1200 Electra Glide & was wondering how much oil should go in the primary ?

You sure it's a sealed primary? Stock would be using engine oil via the oil pump.

I and most guys i rode with disconnected the hose and capped the oil pump , we used the hose a vent and filled primary (held upright) just until the bottom primary chain was partially covered. The old primary covers had an access plate for primary chain tensioner.I didn't like having clutch fibers and possible metal from starter ring circulating into motor.
