Transmission Oil Change Question

Transmission Oil Change Question
I am planning on changing my transmission oil soon so I got out the Dyna Service Manual and reread about how to change all 3 oils(Engine, Primary and Transmission) - why do the instructions for changing the transmission oil do not have you warm up the engine prior to changing like you do for the engine and primary oils?

because the transmission is not turning inside. there would not be and resistance which makes heat until the transmission is engaged. and if bike was left setting for a few hours all the oil is in the bottom of the case. just remove the plug and let it drain. and add 1 qt new oil.

its a sealed unit separate from the engine. there is no internal combustion containments that can get into it. when you drain the oil it will look new, or might have a little gray color to it from the gear break in contact . that's normal.
