Default Wrong viscosity..now what?

I recently inadvertently purchased 4 cases of Amsoil 20w40 oil from a crooked dealer that went out of business. He claimed it was for my Harleys, even though I swore I had been using 20w50. He gave me a good price on them, so I picked em up. After returning home, I looked it up on the internet, and found they formulated this for Victory and newer Indian motorcycles. My question is, now that I'm hung with this stuff, would I dare use it in my Harleys? I have an '09 CVO Ultra and an '07 Wide Glide.

An idea just popped into my head. Is it possible that you could find somebody that you could sell or trade the oil too to get the 20-50 that you'd rather have?

I was just curious about something. I freely admit that I don't always follow what I am told to do by the so-called experts when it comes to my bike. I also looked on the map to see where Ferndale was. In all honesty why would it really hurt to use the 20-40 instead of the 20-50 because where you live, I am pretty sure that it doesn't get as hot in the NW part of the state as it does in the SE part of the state. Based on my off the wall thinking, I'd try it and see what happens.
