Odor with Mobil 1 75/90 syn gear lube
I just changed from Syn 3 to Mobil 1 syn. 75/90 and from time to time catch a whif of the gear oil odor. My guess is it's vapor from the tranny vent line. Has anyone had this occur? Thanks for any input.

Not me but some other guy posted here about the same thing. If you are not leaking and didn't spill any on the bike it has to be the vent line. Maybe get a longer hose for it.

Yep, I sometimes get the same odor after a ride. No leaks, just a slight gear oil smell.

I believe I also have noticed that smell when I shut the bike down in it's shed. very faint tho, and I see no leaks or drips under the bike so I'm hoping alls well...............WVleo
