I use the K&N 171C with the nut on the end, makes changing them a breeze.

Synthetic in the crankcase for the ability to withstand higher temps.
Gear oil in the tranny because of the ability to withstand more shear.
Formula + in the primary for it's compatability with clutch plates.

Default Drag Specialties 20W50 ?

Hi. Excuse me for the theme.
I tried to find the answer, using the "search" ... but the engine did not give me any reasonable and simple answer.

I know most riders in America prefer to use AMSOIL 20W50/PCV ... but in Europe this oil is hard to find and expensive ... about $ 20 per liter + one month supply.
Of course I can use some fully synthetic oil 20W50 or 15W50 / Castrol or something like that / ... but I want to use oil specifically designed for air-cooled engines and HD. Summer in South-Eastern Europe is very hot and often having to drive in urban traffic jams.

My question is: I can buy 12 liters Drag Specialties 20W50 Oil at a good price ... but I do not know anything about this oil. Which company produced it? Quality Oil Is?

Thanks in advance for answers and advice.

Default Oil

I don't think most US riders prefer Amsoil, and I don't know who makes the oil you mentioned.
There are lots of good brands out there and the Dino vs Synthetic debate seems to have been settled in favor of the syn, in my opinion. That being said there are lots of good options out there.
You may want to contact Rene...he is FXD2003Rider on this forum and he is a great source of information.
I personally would use the Motul before the Drag Specialties oil.

You don't need to know anything about oil. The API rating is to tell you what is acceptable.
