Default Shelf Life of Oil

My local auto parts store has Mobil1V-Twin Syn on sale. If I buy a case, 12 bottles, I'm only gonna use half that in a year, my bike takes 3 qts. So 6 of those qts.are gonna be over 2 years old before they get used. Will the oil still be OK being stored that long?

Last year I was stocking up on oil at a big sale and decided to write to Exxon Mobil and Shell to ask the same question. Their answer was this (both of them).

1. The shelf life of motor oil kept in a sealed unopened manufacturers container stored in a heated/cooled room is 60 months before the additives begin to fall out suspension.
2. The shelf life of an unopened sealed container of motor oil stored in an unheated building subjected to freezing temperatures is 18-24 months.
3. The shelf life of an opened container of oil is 12 months.
4. Both recommended if the oil was stored inside and unopened for more than 24 months it should be shaken vigorously before use.
