I know what you mean.
Some people say that some oils make more noise or just the oppisite.
I cant tell any difference.

I'm considering changing the oil weight like you do.
Starting to get warm here,80's plus.

Default mobil 1

Regular motor oil may be fine in most instances but it only takes once in hot weather to cook the oil, on a trip bike loaded, wife on back, 95+, ( not wifes weight ) and a grade will do it, and you wont even know it untill it is to late. I like the piece of mind also but my mind had a problem with the 14.00 a quart piece part .
