Default Oil pressure

Help!!!! I just rebuilt '57 panhead motor with S & S engine cases and internal oiling heads. Running an S & S oil pump. Running SAE 60W motor oil. When motor 1st started no oil light (good) as the motor begins to heat light comes on; as motor rmps increase light goes out then flickers and comes back on and eventually stays on even at 60+ speeds. New switch put in and same result. Checked ground on light all good there. Checked oil tank to ensure oil is circulating as it should; good there. Are there certian swithches for certian models? Should I go to 70w? Any ideas and/or suggestions welcomed. Currently parked for fear of damaging new cases.

Default RE: Oil pressure

Start by putting a real gauge on there and see what your pressure actually is. Then you can decide if it's an engine problem, or a gauge problem.
