Default Bel-Ray 80/90 gear saver hypoid gear oil VS Redline 80w gear oil with shock proof

Has any one tried the bel-ray gear saver 80/90 hypoid gear oil in there trans ? Is it the same as the redline 80w shock proof gear oil ?

No. You would use the 85W-140 in the Transmission. You use the straight 80W in the primary. I've used this set up since 2000 in my Road King

Long time Bel Ray user. You would use the 85W-140 in the Transmission. You use the straight 80W in the primary. I've used this set up since 2000 in my Road King.
