Sammi is Back Home.

Sammi is Back Home.
Had coronary by-pass Tuesday morning and got home this morning (Friday).
I'm feeling pretty good all things considered. Looks like the minimally invasive procedure makes a huge difference in recoup time over the traditional "cracking the chest bone" method. Pain is limited to a dull ache in one area, and my strength will come back quickly.
Operation using the DaVinci robot. 3 small incisions in left side of chest instead of opening chest breastbone, and using left mammary artery instead of harvesting artery from leg.
Shorter hospital stay and recouperation time. I will be ready to ride by the time the New England weather turns, however I have to rely on the kindness of my neighbor for snow throwing for the rest of the winter.
Life is good!!!

I'll probably get the OK to drive a car tomorrow.
Spring may be around the corner my backyard didn't get the memo.
Substantial snow and ice block any access to the driveway from the shed.
Supposed to be close to 60 on Friday and I know I'd be tempted to take a quick spin so it's probably a good thing the bike is snowed in.
