If my dealer tries to add a 'hey it's new so pay more than MSRP for it' fee I will just keep my bike coral the way it is and wait. With so much NEW on this bike I hope Harley has told the dealers to behave or they could risk losing PA business.

I don't think HD allows that **** to go on. If it does, it's on the down low, so worth reporting if anyone runs into it.

Are you referring to additional dealer markup?

Some Harley dealerships have been doing that for ages. Corporate certainly doesn't care about dealership charging extra. They do care about dealerships selling below MSRP and advertising those prices.

So I just talked to my dealer. They are writing down the options and bike the customer wants, but as of now only the standard order banks are open and the special order banks haven’t opened yet. They also told me that they are charging MSRP and no dealer markups or anything like that.

I knew that they controlled MAP = MSRP... Thought they disallowed any markup... all the car dealers do it so i guess why not. (Try buying a Ford Bronco at MSRP right now.)

I hope dealers selling over MSRP realize that they are prioritizing short-term gains over long-term success for the Pan Am. But H-D should put their foot on this practice.

Seems like its a really popular bike so far. Looks like a winner for HD so far.

I don't ever recall this much positivity towards a new HD offering. Maybe some of the older guys do, but I certainly don't.

The Rushmore bikes, esp the Road Glide in 2015 was a huge waiting line to get a bike.
