I ordered one this week. Special with laced wheels and adaptive ride height. I'm currently finalising the other options, but it will include the metal side cases and aux lights. I'm still on the fence about the titanium pipe, but will probably end up getting that as well.
There seems to be a bit of confusion at the moment on how to order the PA at the dealer level. At least with my dealer. I had put a deposit down on one back in Nov 2020. I told the dealer over the phone what I wanted the day after the reveal but there was a bit of an issue. Yesterday I got a notification from HD that I put a reservation in from their website; my dealer must have done that because I did not.
So, if you are interested go to the HD website and put a reservation in for $100. HD seems to then send this to your dealer who is then supposed to contact you with what you want. This must be a necessary step to enable the dealer to then have the opportunity to order it for you. The online reservation seems to be a necessary first step.
I placed the first order at my dealer. Orange Special with laced wheels and the Adaptive Ride Height. I'm paying MSRP and 10% off parts and labor for the P&A stuff.
It'll arrive when it arrives, late May or early June I'd wager.

Unless your dealer is just as in the dark as you are....
I put my reservation in on the website and my dealer doesnt have a clue what is supposed to happen next.
So I placed my order today for a Orange Special with laced wheels and the Adaptive Ride Height. I was the first one to place my order in the dealership and was surprised that I was living in Long Island NY. At first it was a little confusing for them but they figured it out not I big deal but I also had to put it in the reserve system on the computer with HD and pay the $100.00 dollars. Now I just have to wait till it comes in and hope it’s worth the wait. Also was told by the sales manager that they are only making a limited supply on the accessories so don’t wait on ordering them when they come out.
Ok cool did they give you a delivery date and prices are they charging you over sticker right now and did they have a lot of orders for it.
I am in the UK, and over here dealers can only sell at MSRP or less. So there's no gouging for prep fees or anything like that. The MSRP on the website is the price you pay out of the door. They had sold 4 out of the first 6 bikes they allocated. I was number 5. Delivery is fairly vague - just "June". I couldn't get a discount off MSRP though.
I wish it was like that in the US they put on all sorts of stuff dealer fees prep fees its crazy but you can usually get them to take it off but being its a new bike they wont take anything off. So right now your going to pay msrp unless you know someone or you bought bikes from them previously. But who knows next year if they dont sell you will get them to drop the price.

If I'm reading the correspondence on the new Pan America correctly, I think that there is enough demand that the early models will sell with a "healthy" premium added on by the dealers.
