My first thought is why does a bike need to have cosmetic damage to show it’s used? Are you taking it on extreme trails or constantly dropping it? I’ll never understand the notion by folks that a clean bike, car, boat, tools, etc MUST be filthy, beat up and abused to indicate they’ve been used.

I guess it’s the whole ADV mentality of brag-ability on who has the most beat up bike….that must mean they are a ‘true’ adv rider.

I get that it’s an ADV bike, but I’ve seen plenty of GSAs on the road with 100,000+ miles and the owners take care of them and have pride in keeping them clean. To each their own I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Im honestly not knocking anyone, it’s just that this ‘clean bike’ topic constantly comes up in the ADV world.

In my case over the last 10 years with bikes ranging from sportster, heritage, road gluides, and now PA I have been to busy riding them upwards of 300K miles to worry about keeping them clean and sparkly.
