That's why I am putting a chain oiler on this one. I think half the battle is keeping the chain lubed. If you do that, it also makes it much easier to keep clean and a good wipe with a rag while on the centre stand should be sufficient.

I have ordered the Cobrra NEMO II Oiler. It's a manual system, very simple to use and no need for things like power connections or vacuum take-offs. It also gets great reviews from the ADV community and is cheap too.

In fairness, in over 20K miles, my chain required almost zero adjustment after the initial break-in period, but it was the cleaning and lubing that was a bit of a pain in the ***. Hopefully, the Nemo oiler will make this much easier.

I think the CVO is actually a pretty decent deal. I had all the accessories already, and knowing the dealer won't give you much at all on trade in for accessories, I decided to swap everything from the old bike to the new.

But, if I was new into the bike and needed luggage, lights, bash plates and stuff....I would probably buy the CVO.

The CVO is the way to go if you planned on adding the Hard cases, skid plate, and Fog lights.

I agree with this. People are getting tied into knots thinking CVO means "pristine show bike", and that the PA cannot possible be a good CVO. But CVO's are just the ultra loaded versions of their bikes.
