Default Ghost Image in Denim Black paint, can I fix?

So I have a 2015 Road Glide that I purchase 6 months ago, in an effort to remove all the Chrome on the bike I decided to also remove the Stock Tank Emblems. I got them off no problem and will be putting new Emblems on that are Gloss Black, however, the new emblems are smaller than the old ones in surface area. Their is a "ghost" image of the old emblems in the paint so even when I add the new ones there will be a noticeable paint issue. Can this be fixed without painting it? I was told by the custom shop that's doing some work on my bike that they could mask off the area and spray just the area on down and blend it and it would be $150. I'm just wondering if that's a good idea or if there is any way to address this ghosting in the paint. Pics are below, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If it was a gloss finish you could wet sand and buff that out. Being that it's a denim finish you can't for obvious reasons so I would follow your painter's advice.

Yeah, I have used two different adhesive removers and I think it's all gone, just the ghosting effect remains. I didn't think I would have any issues because I looked up denim black emblem removal on Google and not once did I see anyone say they could see any ghost effect. I will try to clean it again and see if it looks any better. Thanks for the help

I think you might be right and taking the painter's advice is the way to go. Just disappointed that a $50 emblem swap is gonna cost me an extra $150. Thanks for the response.
