Default Removing bootmarks from Grey Primary cover

Hi Guys,

My 2009 Softail Standard has the grey powder coated primary and engine casing I noticed that there are a couple of scuff marks on the primary cover that WD40 wont remove( like boot marks), is there any way to tidy these up without using touch up paint?. The surface is that grey texted powder coat variety I am not sure what would work? I'm afraid that using a polish or scratch remover might cause shiny patches to develop in the finish where they are so making them worse ,many thanks for your advice.

Try a toothbrush with some toothpaste on it and go in a circular motion.

Thanks OldEnuf2nBtr for your reply , I have had a little experience with normal paintwork but not powder coat surfaces. up close they look like shallow impressions or scrapes in the pc surface there's no residual boot rubber etc I will give your suggestion a try.
