Default Powder Coating On Night Train

I want to get some stuff powder coated on my new to me 2008 Denim Black Night Train. I'm thinking of getting the fork tubes, triple trees, bars & head light gloss black. Not sure if I should do more or if that would look good enough. What do you guys think?

Anyone have any pics so I can get an idea what it might look like?

Thanks!

RockyTopRider has a bunch of black powdercoating on his Train. Also, there are a lot here https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...s-allowed.html. Anything that I don't buy black I rattlecan.

Can those lower fork tubes be powder coated? I think that is what they are called, the one's with the ugly reflectors. Called a shop near me & they said yes that they would have to replace the seals & repack them or something like that. Can the turn signals in the front & back be powder coated?

Also, what can I replace the stock tail light with? Would like something with a smoked look.

All of it can be powder coated but it has to be gutted. You can't have anything inside them or it will melt in the oven. You can sand all of those parts, tape them off, and rattlecan them with self etching primer and then with rustoleum or krylon. I did all of mine with flat black over a year ago with directions found on this forum. It all still looks good but if you have the cash you're probly better off taking it to the powdercoater.

Harley sells smoked lenses.

i was going to get my factory headlight powdercoated, but ended up buying a new one and powdering that. just think of what your future plans are before powdering anything. or youll end up doing it twice.

I'm not sure if I should just do the bars & leave the risers chrome or the risers & bars black. What do you guys think? The fork tubes, trees & head light are a for sure thing. What color or black would look best with the denim black paint that is on there. Gloss black or Wet black?

Looks Good! I think I'm going to go with gloss black. Post pics when everything is done.
