Prayers needed please
Some of you that know me are fimiliar with the fact that my wife had hodgkins disease while she was carrying our youngest daughter almost eighteen years ago. She held off treatment until our daughter could be safely delivered. Christine was born with a brain injury, has epilepsy and developmental delay. She has had two brain surgeries, trying to put a stop to her seizures. Neither one has helped. My wife just told me the other night, that she has a lump on her own throat, and that it has been there for the past six months. She has been keeping it to herself, hoping it would go away, but it hasn't. Today she saw her doctor and she needs to have a catscan tomorrow, and possibly a biopsey, if needed. As you can imagine, I am a little freaked out. My Wife's Mother, Father, Sister and Niece have all died of cancer. We are hoping this is just a scare. Please say a prayer for us. Thanks, Rob
Boy! What a roller coaster this has been. My wife Jan, got a call that the CT scan showed that the lump on her neck was a group of lymph nodes, that are more than likely infected, but then the nurse told my wife that their was a spot on her lung, and she needs to have an X-ray. Jan called me all upset. Lung cancer took both her parents and a sister, and Jan had a lot of radiation to her chest when she was fighting the Hodgkin's disease 18 years ago. I tried my best to be optimistic. The nurse called back with the X ray appointment and my wife questioned her about the spot and the nurse corrected herself and said she meant to say there was a patchy area. We went online and checked Jan's report, and the patchy area is most likely an infection as well. So things are looking good. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. Now we can continue to help Christine with her epilepsy.
