Clutch Plate Alignment ??

Clutch Plate Alignment ??
Stupid question although I've done the searches here: Is there any reason that the alignment of the clutch plates is important or are they just supposed to be randomly installed? I'm talking about the gaps between the friction material whatever it is. I know it's steel / friction plate but is there a specific rotation needed?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Different clutch packs may have a different friction or steel plate that may need to go in first as per install instructions but other than alternating friction and steel there is no "alignment" of the steel/friction plates that I have heard of.
For the HD and Alto Carbonite +1 clutch packs I have ran there is a "narrow" friction plate that goes in first, and on the Bandit clutch pack that I am about to install there is a thick steel plate that goes in first.
