Default Sprocket Teeth

Out of town for a few days otherwise I would check for myself. Would my service manual tell me how many teeth there are on my front and rear sprockets? 07 FLHT, find 6th gear too tall. Also I hear that there are differences between different years of 6 speeds.

Yes, in the section on the primary components(Chapter 5 for my dyna), under Specifications you will see the count for both pulleys. Thinking you are 32T/66T.

You should have 32/66.

Is that standard or do the newer models have higher or lower gearing?

09 Harley went to the 68 tooth rear cush drive system. You can also lower the tooth count on the front pulley to gain some torque. Each tooth you drop will give you about 3.5% more torque but will raise the RPM's the same amount.
