Trans Needle Bearing
PT.#8977 , Primary side case , My FSM is vague on swapping it, all I found about it on youtube was a guy pressing it out in to a bare case out of the bike & didn't show him putting it back in ,
My case will stay in frame , I'm thinking drive it out with a socket , freeze the knew bearing and drive it in with a block of wood , question to you who have changed it is how did you do it ?
At 62 I'm tired of buying one use tools , All other tools I have on hand for my weekend trans gut swap.
Thanks all and

Main gear bearing? The trick when re installing is to make sure your pushing on the outer rim of the new bearing otherwise you WILL damage the new bearing going in. I made a tool out of some threaded rod and nuts and washers. I made the cups to receive the bearing and to go over the trans output shaft at work so I didn't have to buy the 200 dollar tool.
