Default Main Shaft Bearing Special Tools
I've got 46k miles on my 08 Ultra now and the transmission main bearing is starting to let go. I noticed it first with a clicking while rolling back while it was hot. Now it's starting to growl a little bit with some shavings showing up on the plug magnet. So I'm going to break it down but there are several special tools that will be needed like main drive gear/bearing kit, seal installer, pully lock etc. Where is the best place to get these (read cheapest). I know George's Garage and Jim's have them but man are they expensive. I found the tools on ebay for the inner primary bearing race for 70 bucks that I've already changed at 40k miles, but I don't see what I need now. Where do you guys get your tools?

Do you have any friends in a heavy equipment repair shop. I pulled some odds and ends out of the puller cabinet to remove mine.

No but that's a good idea. I guess once you get into it you can usually find something to make it work.
