Rebuilding Primary '04 TC88 - Please help me ID these parts from the Cometic Primary Kit
Okay, I think I have a shifter shaft seal leak (oil and dirt right in front of the sprocket where the shifter shaft enters the gearbox). I read several posts on this forum, and decided to rebuild my primary including all the usual suspect seals (inner primary seal, jackshaft seal, inner primary bearing/race, 5th gear seal, mainshaft seal, quad seal, sprocket spacer) while I am it.
I ordered a Cometic primary kit and I've identified most of the pieces. However, the kit included a bunch of washers and O-rings that I can't figure out goes to what. I've been studying the parts diagram on H-D.com and my service manual. Can't figure it out. Can you help?

I thought buying the Cometic kit will get me ahead of the game, but it's causing me some confusion.
Thanks for your help!

- There are three large o-rings; one is for the derby cover and one is for the inner primary to engine case. What's the third one for? It has a square cross section and intermittent blocks/ridges.
- There are two rubber/metal washers in the plastic bag... 5/8" OD, 5/16" ID. Are these the tower gaskets?
- Three rubber o-rings about 3/4" diameter... Is this for the mid control shift sleeve?
- Five small rubber/metal washers 1/4" ID... Could these be for the derby cover bolts?

5 rubber washers aren't normally used, the squarish one is for inspection cover and the other large one is used on different year models. And yes the 2 gaskets in the bag are for the outer primary to inner on 2 of the inspection cover bolts.
