Thanks Bud I had it installed at a local shop because I was working all the time I will check it out and make sure it is all alined with that being said what is the best compensator to go with and I am also about to replace the clutch just got into Harley's I have road crotch rockets most of my life so there is alot of difference in the bike build I ride hard and beat on it alot so I'm trying to get everything together that is going to hold up to my riding style
The original HD comp is the best.. I've used the drag specialties comp and it works well but the belleville springs can crack. Do not sue the BDL comp. I really don't know of any other.
List what the bikes is.. year / model.. Any mods..
92 Electra glide has ultima 120 El Bruto everything else is factory for now. I am running dual exhaust and the ultima carb witch is post to be a copy of the s&s super e wanting to switch the trans to a six speed got the motor put in last year ain't got but a lil over 1000 miles on the motor I knew the stock clutch wouldn't last long so I am tryin to figure out the best direction to go
The faster throttle response is the same as Dumbo's feather.. Knocking 5 lbs down to 2 makes very little difference when spinning a 30-40 lb crank. The moment of inertia on an 8 inch crank is way more than a 3 1/2 inch sprocket.. Don't forget the moment of inertia increases with the square of the diameter..
I have replaced the compensator on my 2002 Dyna with a solid sprocket, and I fully agree with this.
There is no noticeable improvement in acceleration or throttle response.
There are no negative effects either, to be honest it did not make any difference at all.

I have a 113 ci evo with pretty high compression and no comp, 3 inch belt drive.. I've had dimples pull out of steel rims in the rear, busted 3 sets of fenders, replaced as many taillights, on about my 7th speedo, 5th tach, and a dozen bulbs plus a bunch of other issues. Light bike. Would it be less of an issue with a comp? I would think so.

Yeah, I think in my case the rubber mount engine helps a lot. And I only have a 95" engine so there is clearly less torque applied
