Default more tranny clunk

Last week I installed the HB-125 primary tensioner, using Red Line Heavy Shockproof as well.Except for the nature of the HB-125 primary whine,I cannot tell any difference from the stock tensioner and using Royal Purple heavy gear oil.I'm reasonably sure I have the HB-125 adjusted correct, new Shochproof, anyone else had the same conclusions?

Using Redline Heavy Shockproof in the tranny, and Royal Purple Synthetic MTF in the primary. After todays ride of 200 miles,I can say the clunk was slightly less than before, but not near as much improvement as expected.

The clunk as you call it really doesn't have much to do with the tranny and is more a funtion of the clutch. Any clutch "drag" at all and you have the clunk. The better the separation, or release of the plates, the easier the shifting and less clunk. Try adjusting the clutch, pay close attention to the instructions and then adjust the clutch cable. I run a Primo Pro Clutch and I can drop it into gear from neutral, and shift through the gears with absolutely no clunking, almost like a jap bike.

Something I have found riding about the clunk. Riding try pulling the clutch lever a little sooner beforerolling back on the throttle. It has my bike shifting a lot smoother with a lot less clunk.
