I ordered a couple Derby cover gaskets and inspection cover gaskets for my 05 RK. The gaskets seam to be covered with rubber and a bead of sealer, are the later model gaskets reusable? I sure would think if they were not damaged in any way they would be reusable. They have gone away from the o-ring for the derby cover and now use a gasket.

 

I've been told the new style rubber/silicone bead gaskets are reusable.

Of course, I reuse the paper ones, too.

You sure can, like you said just inspect them.

 

They are supposed to work better but I reuse them all untill I see a leak
