Default Transmission Noise

My 2005 Roadking transmission having covered only 2300 miles went with a loud crack and thereafter the transmission has had a significant amount of backlash more noticeable in 3rd and 4th. Noisy when you flip between drive and overrun and you can produce the same cracking noise when coasting to a standstill in 2nd and "dab" the rear brake sharply. Dealer not sure can anyone help

Default RE: Transmission Noise

Having a hard time understanding what you're saying. What's drive and overrun? Don't know what dabbing the brake is, but if you're coming to a stop with the clutch still engaged in 2nd, the engine is lurching because you're going slower too slow. It isn't an automatic transmission.
