I'm about to pull the plug and buy one. For the people that have them in thier bike now, are you pleased?
I've read on the shifter fork material being upgraded and the seals. How would I know that the set I purchase is the newer or the older?

Any feed back would be appreciated

I swapped out to the Ultima 6 speed about two yrs ago, and I like that tranny! My bike is 93 softail, I changed to 70 tooth rear sprocket. It is a close ratio 5 speed with overdrive. I do find myself shifting a bit more around town, but no need to hit O/D until about 70-75 MPH. Motor has a few mods, about 85HP, 90 torque. I havent had any problems with tranny, and I ride it hard at times. Good luck.

 

Just installed a Ultima in my 99 Ultra. It is whining in 3,4,and six gear. Bad enough that it has to come out. Very hard find tech support for Ultima.
