Default Primary Chain Tensioner for High HP Engines

I have an S&S 124" on a 05 Ultra thats dynoed in at 138hp/136tq. I'm currently running the stock chain tensioner and the tensioner shoes are cracking/breaking. I hear this is fairly common especially when throttle is applied rapidly which produces chain slap. The tension is adjusted correctly but what I'm told is I need to go to the HD Auto Tensioner or the YORK and/or the Hayden M6. Anyone else had the same challenge? Any suggested fixes beside the obvious (auto style tensioner) here?

Thanks,
Tony

Interesting question. I have an S&S 107 at present with an M6, although my dyno figures are obviously lower than yours. I am looking at a serious upgrade to get similar numbers and hadn't included a tensioner on my shopping list! I look forward to seeing what others suggest.
