My great Aunt gave me a transmission that she said was from a motorcycle. It is a pre unit trans. One person said that it was from a "45" servicar. Hoping that someone on this forum could confirm or send me in another direction. Here is the description: The side plate is missing but it had eight studs. The bottom plate is held in place by 12 studs or bolts. It does have some numbers on it and ltrs. It has the ltrs Wis and the numbers 35 on the bottom I believe. The top has the numbers 26-165. I can send pics if it would help. It does have a 27T sprocket on it and the shaft that is left sticking out is tapered and has a keyway as if another sprocket fit on it. Thanks Doug
Every 45 trans has 5 countersunk screw holes in side cover,4 holes for side cover studs and one threaded hole for kick starter spring stud. Most 45 trans dont have #s in the 26-165 area. Most p/ns are in the 22s,33s,34s.Pics may help, might be Indianish.
