What I'm referring to is the cover that the Chain Inspection Cover and the Clutch Inspection Cover are bolted onto. Isn't that the Primary Chaincase Cover?

OK,I misunderstood. It is the primary chaincase cover.

well, experience would tell me the difference is between having the auto part with all its bolts titghtened or missing the head of a bolt forever. yea, I accidentally used a foot/lb wrench where it required a in/lb torque and that bolt head snaped clean off... tried drilling it out but without the proper tools, its no use.

In lamens terms, the foot/lb wrench does the heavy duty bolts, the in/lb wrench does the smaller ones. But make sure you know which you're doing.

Yea, no more than 120 inch lbs. for the primary cover and you should be fine. The clutch inspection cover should be just snug.

I just bought an 09RK, went to buy a manual and they said it would be 3 weeks before it comes in so I winged my oil change. I drained the primary and "assumed" it was to be filled through the inspection cover. Anyways, I searched this site to find the torque values for the cover and always find good info...thx!
