Cam chain tensioner...
In a situation I need to do as much as possible on my bike, myself.
Now that I've passed 60,000 miles, I'd like to take a peek at the cam chain tensioner.
Will there be much oil spill out of that cover when I open it to look at it?
Is it possible to be real careful and reuse the gasket? (I've had the primary cover off and re-used the gasket on it and it's working fine, no leaks. I don't mean the derby cover, the primary cover)
Is it just the one gasket, in case I do screw up and can't re-use it?

You can try to re use the gasket, but I wouldn't suggest it. It doesn't cost that much. Yes just one gasket.

Don't know which model you drive. If its a touring bike or dyna you won't lose much oil maybe 1/2 -1 cup. If it's a softail it will drain the entire oil tank as it sits above the cam chest.
