I have the 95" screaming eagle with the big cams. 212's or or whatever they are. Engine is 10.5 to 1.

We will see if we can find the issue tonight. I am taking the bike to a buddy of mine and we are going to pull off the primary and see what we can see.

I will post update soon.

Well I am pretty sure I found the problem. These aren't the best pics. 11,450 miles on the bike.

Well that would look like a problem to me too. How did that happen?[:@] Ted while your in there check the compensating nut for correct tightness as well, there's been a lot coming loose, might save another cover pull off.

That would definately give you a bit of noise in there. Good thing you found it before it broke clean off.
The 10.5 -1 would probably benefit the starter with comp. releases too.

Picked up the replacement shoe this morning. (They didn't have the automatic primary chain adjuster, or I would have gotten it) I can't wait to order it, as the bike is apart at my buddies shop and in the way of his business. So for now I will just replace the shoe and the Hyden or HD version will be another project later. Anyway, I should be back on the road tonight.

By the way, I do have the compression releases, I was just not using them when I should have.

Yeah, I have no clue how that golf ball, pen & Nikon Lens Cap got in my primary, but they obviously broke my primary chain tensioner shoe!!

btw, We checked the compensating Nut and that mother is on there, definately not the issue.

Default Help

I cant see the pics for some reason, but I recently had a noise ciming from the primary, then yesterday the starter started making that grunding squeeling noise, but i went for a ride anyway, then as i was heading home and in the fast lane, i felt the power go and when i hit the throtle i git just free spinning, thought the belt went. Turns out the front belt pulley must have stripped out, it just spins. Im thinking they are all related. Please let me know what you found. Thanks
