Sundance to Spearfish

I'm looking at this route back from Devils Tower. 207 -> Grand Canyon Rd -> Rattlesnake Canyon (?) -> 105 -> 222 -> Alt 14. I'm curious about road conditions / time.

I like going down to New Castle and than over past the saloon and trailshead lodge down to Cheyenne crossing. Anything better I don't recall?

If you zoom in with Google Earth you can see that Grand Canyon Rd, Rattlesnake Canyon , 105 and 222 are not paved. A lot of 207 is not paved also. I would pass on those unless you have a lot of time.
