Hi Rocky - congrats on the new bike - she's a beauty. We just started our cross country road trip yesterday. I had fob "issues" and thought of you! Moved my cell phone to a different pocket and voila! All fixed. We learn a lot from reading your thread. I'm hoping our paths will cross when we get out West. We'll be in GNP this time next week. Would love to buy you a coffee to say thanks for all the great information.
Have a great weekend.

A pretty good day. Started by having coffee in Cranny then bugged out around 10:30. A nice ride to the first ferry, a 35 minute wait then a nice Crossing. I went up to Kaslo and bought lunch to eat on the road, then headed up 31A to find Dans Memorial, but never did. And I was riding slow and looking hard. I will get better directions and go back later in the fall.
I stopped for lunch and I missed the second boat by about the amount of time I stopped. Oh well, not in a hurry so I got to chat with the folks in the pictures.
I tied down into the motel. A nice place. I will write it up in The Mom & Pop thread.
Tomorrow, if it is clear, I will head up Mt Revelstoke. Then in towards Kamloops and North East to Jasper. I will be there for a few nights and will tent up. There WILL be Picts of my camp. Lol.

The road from Creston to Revelstoke, via the two ferrys, is a necessity on anyone's bucket list. It is some of the best Motorcycle roads anywhere and it is a full days trip. Stops in Crawford Bay, Kaslo, New Denver & Nakusp are almost mandatory.... and camping at Toad Rock just south of Kaslo is the place to pitch a tent. And Nelson as a side trip is also very worthy.
The view of the mountains from the two ferries is spectacular, and riding beside the Valhallas is something to behold. There are lakes to camp beside, numerous craft shops and wonderful restaurants all along the way.
If your heading North, Make sure you stop in Creston for some fresh fruit to eat on the boats. And the boats are no fee.
Do this.
