Are you riding straight through or stopping somewhere for the night? I hope you're gonna stop for the night. Like I said in the other thread, if you had left a day earlier, I would have met you in Flagstaff and rode in to Phoenix with you. Wish you safe travels.

Thanks! Definitely stopping for the night. Don't do long rides often so normally don't break 550 miles the first day. We are just inside Arizona off of I40 and calling it for the night. Bike is doing great!

I may be stopping in Phoenix to get the 1000 mile service. There or Yuma. Any experience with the dealer in Phoenix?

I bought my bike from Scottsdale HD. I think they are the biggest dealer in the valley. You will pass right by Buddy Stubs in Anthem. I have no experience there other than when I was about to buy, I went into showroom and no one even came and talked to me so I went elsewhere. Scottsdale HD has bent over backwards to help me with my bike. As you may (or may not) know, I got a bike that had a bad motor and they immediately put me into another new one rather than make me wait on a warranty motor replacement in the other one. So because they went overboard to help me, I will continue to do business with them. They are a little out of your way (maybe 40 miles total) but I think worth it.

Getting back on the road! Half way there so should get back to Pine Valley CA at a reasonable time.

Made it back to Pine Valley CA in one piece! 105 degrees through the desert was not comfortable. My butt is probably gonna hurt until next Tuesday!

Mods to this bike are gonna be simple. New seat, passenger stuff, headlight and tail light modulators, new Walo or Bad Boy horn. That's it.
