The Cat ferry fares are not yet posted for 2018. They used to be about $110 each way per person and vehicles about $200 one way and $300 round trip. The Warf Rat Rally (Labour Day weekend) is very crowded and getting accommodations is problematic unless you can book something in advance before spring or are willing ti drive an hour to get there. Personally I'd rather spend my time riding the trunk highways (1, 2, 5, 6 and 7) but that's only my opinion.

Thanks I figured the rally would be !Ike most any other Crowded. So I will plan to miss that we are thinking about the last week in July and the first week in August. Spending 3 nights in the Baddeck area of Cape Breton then 3 nights in Digby. We will ride up to the Cape then take the Ferry from Digby to Saint John.
It looks like most places in NS can be an easy day trip from Digby but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Trailsman motel near Baddeck and Esquire in Bedford are what I would highly recommend. All of Cape Breton is within 3 hours from Baddeck and all of mainland NS 3 hours from Bedford/Halifax.
