”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 3

We took a ride to the “Strip” as they call it here in the Lake of the Ozarks yesterday. We had pre-booked a 1-1/2 hour sight seeing boat trip at noon. This boat took us around the various sights Including the Bagnell Dam which was constructed in the early 1900’s.
After the boat trip we went for a fabulous lunch at “Tucker Shuckers” and on from there to Lake of the Ozarks Harley Davidson.
Festivities start today so we will be off to the Harley dealer, and then on from there.
Enjoy!

Cheers, Terry

”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 4

All the festivities began today here in Lake of the Ozarks bike fest. Off to the Harley Davidson dealer we went to check things out and go to the various booths set up behind the dealership.
The off for a great lunch at the Landshark restaurant at Margaritaville.
We topped the afternoon off with a twisty road ride for a couple of hours through the countryside.
Another excellent day with great weather for riding!

Cheers, Terry

”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 5

Yesterday we ventured to the main bike fest area called the “Strip”. Road was open with allowance for bike parking in the center lane. Lots of bars and shops in this area. We are still on the hunt for Marty Byrd lol.
Had a bite and a beverage at “Tucker Shuckers” and the off to the Encore resort for Indian demo rides.
Another awesome day for riding!

Cheers, Terry

”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 6

Our ride today took us to the “Devils Elbow” south of Lake of the Ozarks. It was a 150 mile trek up and down through windy roads with beautiful scenery. We stopped in “Waynesville, Missouri” where we met the former mayor of the town (Luge Hardman) and she was kind enough to help us out with photos as we stood by the Route 66 sign in the middle of town. We also stopped at the famous “Uranus Missouri” attraction and then back north and on to the “Strip” area across the Bagnell Dam.
Once again another awesome riding day!

Cheers, Terry

”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 7

The last day of our trip (yesterday) was a light riding day. We ventured out the Harley Dealer for a last look around. It was a sea of Harleys, so many that we had a hard time to even find a parking spot.
Then off to a restaurant called “Wobbly Boots” for lunch and then back to our resort.
Loaded up the Harley in the trailer and got ready to head out today. We are heading north and west to Sturgis and will take a couple of days to get there, while the two couples we are here with head for home.
More pics to follow once we arrive.

Cheers, Terry

”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 8 and Day 9

Day 8 and day 9 were traveling days from Lake of the Ozarks to Deadwood South Dakota.
As I have heard in the past once you get on to I-80 there is little to no scenery at all. I would sum it up to a very boring drive, and could only imagine what it would be like on the Harley.
We arrived in Deadwood yesterday. Today we will unload the Harley from the trailer and venture up to Sturgis to spend the day. Tomorrow it will be time to head for home.
Enjoy the pics. Will post more from todays ride.

Cheers, Terry

”Lake of the Ozarks” trip - Day 10 (the last day)

Yesterday I posted that the boring road was I-80, but Suzie corrected me and it was I-90.

Today we will get to venture down that I-90 highway once again as we head east and for home.
Yesterday we unloaded the Harley from the trailer and took a nice ride up from Deadwood to Sturgis to view the area.
We knew when we headed out here that it would be quiet, but not that quiet!
All in all we only saw about two dozen bikes out riding.
We visited the Harley dealer and then went for a nice lunch at the Knuckle Saloon. After that we headed back to Deadwood and loaded up ready to head home.
Hope you have enjoyed the photos and our trip. Thanks for following!
As always the next adventure is right around the corner.

Cheers, Terry

I spent some time at the Knuckle Saloon during the rally a few years back. Great bands and cold beer!
Looks like you had decent weather. Nice pics.
I blasted by the Wall Drug exit on the way out West. Kinda wish I had stopped to see what it is all about but I was on a mission to hit Sturgis before sundown. Years ago my parents were out there. Dad says its a tourist trap full of junk and Mom said she loved it.
