We started off thru Hot Springs N.C., where we got on 209 to Sliding Rock N.C... After a few times down the slide we got on the Blue Ridge Parkway(got CHILLY over 5K ft.) to Maggie Valley.. Had a nice meal at The Salty Dog.. From there we headed toward Newport Tn. where we stopped at The Bobarosa for some refreshment, then towards home.. About 260mi. round trip..

That's just awesome. I'm yearning to ride back down to the BRP, and check out the same ride you did. Thank you for posting about your ride and the cool pictures.

 

We have so many nice rides here in east TN... Snake, Rattler, Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Moonshiners Run, Clinch Mt., Roan Mt. Smokey Mt., and many more.. I'm glad to say we rode them all this summer, some of them twice..

 

Did that ride last July. Loved it! Can't wait to get back this summer.
There's a nice water fall off the Cherahola , about 15 minutes from Tellico Plains. If anyone is interested I'll look back at my routes and post up the turn off

I really like riding up there. I wish I were a little closer. Its about an all day ride for me,
( getting old) cause I stop and walk around and walk around when I get gas then I have to pee and walk around. but I love it. kidding a little.

if your in the Southeast, everyone has to ride the Dragon, but earlier this fall, 2 of my son's and I rode the Rattler and I thoroughly enjoyed that ride. fall colors were just coming into view. We started in Maggie Valley NC to Hot Springs NC and back to Maggie Valley. Highly recommend this ride!
