Strange question- what pants to wear?

I wear kevlar lined Scorpion Covert jeans with leather chaps, Freeze-Out (Cycle Gear brand) thermal underwear, and rain pants as needed for cold and/or wet.
I just finished up a 1500 mile trip with temps from the mid 80s down to the low 40s, and steady rain most of Saturday afternoon and this combo kept me comfortable the entire ride.

Normally I just wear jeans. I keep my H-D rain suit with me during the warm weather months and it does well in keeping both dry and warm.
I always carry a warm shirt as an extra precaution.
In cooler weather I wear leather pants over my jeans but they're so heavy I have to wear suspenders to keep them up, but they are worth the effort when needed.
I suppose I tend to over do it sometimes as I keep 3 pairs of gloves in my saddlebag and they are also selected by the seasons. Can't be too warm or too dry.

Levis 501 button fly....they fit great, even for old guys like me. I always have my rain gear with me and if I know cold weather is in the forecast, I bring along a pair of Lee fleece lined jeans. Fleece lining is extremely warm but if that's not enough, I always have my leather chaps near by. I also bring a fleece pull-over and to keep the chill off, I wear that under my leather jacket. I also bring three pairs of gloves...gauntlets for the very cold, regular Harley gloves and a pair of finger-less gloves for the hot days.

I wear jeans while riding all the time. I keep my rain gear in the saddle bag just in case.
if it's to cold for those I stay home.
I did buy specific underwear for riding, boxer shorts just don't work well when it's hot outside, someone on here suggested them but i can't remember the name although they weren't cheap. They are similar to what you see bicyclist wear.

Pants:
For long touring I just got a pair of Aerostich AD1 pants- waterproof armoured and like 600D cordura. Expensive and bulky but for superslab- the way to go.
Riding? Kevlar "Saint" jeans (also armoured.)
I also have a pair of BMW summer pants- look like chinos but the bottoms zip off for being shorts at stops.
