Staying in the area of the Tail (Nashville & Asheville)
Hey riding the Tail next weekend and various other rides. End of ride stops will be Asheville and Nashville. Looking for ideas where to stay that has to have:
Personality
Great view or we can sit outside and enjoy a drink and a cigar could just be wooded area
Comfort after riding al day
Cleanliness
A bar
Culture (Biker stop)
Fun
Hospitable
Free WiFi
Inexpensive ($100-150 nightish can flux but not much)
AND DOESNT Have to be at these two places but close as they are waypoint of distance and time through our travels.
You experiences and help would be greatly appreciated.
Let’s hear your ideas..
Thank you all.

Stay in Maggie Valley. Breakfast is a must at Country Vittles. Run these two routes that are nearby.
The 209 Rattler

The Copperhead Loop

While running the Tail...go ahead & include the Moonshiner 28 & Cherohala Skyway.
Enjoy.

Sitting in Maggie now. Very friendly town. If you want to ride the parkway be advised they are chip and sealing from the 19 access point to almost the 215 crossing. It's not horrible but riding on loose gravel may screw with you if you are not used to it. Just camp out in the tire rut of the cars ahead of you and you'll be fine.

Take it from a local stay in Knoxville. We ride the Dragon all the time but to be honest, there are much better rides than that. Knoxville is close to everything and a safe place to stay. Ride the Foothills Parkway in Maryville 25 Minutes away, the Dragon 50 minutes away, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg 35 Minutes away. Cherohala Sky Way 50 minutes away. Smoky Mountain HD 15 Minutes away and Two Harley Shops in Knoxville. In 1 hour I can ride to Kentucky and Virginia through the scenic country side. Chattanooga in 1hour 15 minutes. Cherokee 2 Hours, Asheville 2 Hours, Lexington Kentucky 2 hours. Atlanta 3 and Charlotte 3 hours and 15 minutes. Greenville SC 3 hours. Cincinnati 3 and a half, Birmingham AL 3 hours. We are centrally located, interstates, back roads, curvy mountain roads or dirt trails, we have them all. Take the ride through Gatlinburg to the top of the Mountain, Clingdoms Dome. At the top of the Mountain, you cross over to North Carolina. Bring a jacket the temperature drops considerably.
You'll definitely want to go buy Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson in Marysville Tennessee. If you are asking for directions to it and you say where is Marys Ville, you probably get laughed at. Locals pronounce it Mur-ville. The second option is Pigeon Forge especially if you're bringing your wife. The kids are now back in school and the Hotels are cheap.I hope this helps, Thanks for visiting East Tennessee.
Check out my Channel on youtube I have some of the rides that I mentioned uploaded.
Have a blessed day.
