We just got back from riding around Lake Huron.

Just a word of caution on the Ferry. The website has been down,so I called to check on it a few days before we left only to find out it was completely booked. I kept trying for a cancellation for a couple days but no luck we had to ride around.

A shout out out to the Blue Bay Hotel in Tobemory, they were gracious to allow us to cancel our rooms even though we were technically late letting them know.

All in in all a great trip!

We live in Southern Ontario and have used and ride on that ferry for the last 7 years minimum.
Never have we ever had a problem getting on.
The ferry hold 38 motorcycles and only once in 7 years did I see 38 on there.
You should have probably not cancelled because you couldn’t get your reservations. If you show up one hour before ferry crossing, especially on a motorcycle chances are you will get on, even without reservations.
You may have to wait for the next ferry, but thats what I have seen.
My belief is someone fed you a line. Just my two cents worth, but I have been there.
