Default Philippines Mountain Cruising

I got paid off the ship and am now in the Philippines. I have a BMW Motorcycle here. Last year I got it running again after more than five years in lay up. Today I took the battery of the tender and installed it. The bike fired right up after another six month layup. Getting ready to go for a sunset ride. I’ll be here about a month and will probably post some pictures here to give you guys an idea of what riding is like here.

Right on, that’s what I was hoping. We have family and friends in Laoag, and a couple of good friends just retired and built a pretty nice house there for $60k, couldn’t even get the land for that price here. Have fun and thanks for the foto’s.

You can live well here. These were taken just awhile ago somewhere in Northern Luzon.

Thanks for posting. I am interested in going, co-worker went a couple of years ago, his wife is from there. He raved about the entire country and people. My wife is 1/4 Filipino, has some family over there. On the list, keep posting pics, thanks.

Great pictures! I always enjoyed pulling into the PI, although I never seemed to get out of the Subic area.

Were you in the Navy? Subic is still nice although it has changed some since the US Navy days. They still use the port a lot. Every time I go there a US Navy ship is inport. Still a large presence with the whole South China Sea situation.
