Check before you go out of your way to the North Rim, the highway from Jacob Lake might not be open until Memorial Day. South Rim is always open, though.

Good idea to check, but the Park Service has May 15 as opening day.

Default North Rim Snow

I've been to the North Rim February to April and ran into dusting of snow. I never would visit Gand Canyon after April 1st because it's too crowded. Bryce has heavy snow before April but Zion and Moab is hot after April 1st.

Be sure to drink plenty of water. Hot/Dry will sap you if you're not careful to stay hydrated.

Are you going to get the chance to ride on Highway 191 either north or south between Clifton Az. and Eager Az.? That is an awesome twisty road.
It use to be Highway 666 but they changed it to Highway 191 because of the 666 devil thing.
