Default Trip Planned

Site seems sort of slow, so I thought I would post up this years trip.

We are headed back to Durango and hope to see some of the places we missed a few years ago.

Don't have a specific agenda, will sort of depends on weather and how my bones feel when I get up and going.

We loved the Million Dollar Highway and the San Juan Loop.

Looking forward to some chicken dumplings at Handlebars to Silverton and some BBQ at the Rodeo in Durango.

Headed back, we will visit a few places we saw but, did not spend any time in last time.

Basically, going to get away and relax.

Originally was going to be heading out to the Denver area this weekend or so. Luckily that got postponed till the end of the month, so I'll be out in the area the week after Memorial Day. I'll probably ride out over Memorial Day weekend, then meet up with a friend mid week.

Tell me about the rodeo. Is it a good one? Just Saturday? And the BBQ.

I rode through Durango last year, but only did lunch. Might wind up there later this year. I have spent a couple of nights there and done the train.

I thought the site was kind of slow as well.

Its not PBR, mostly entry level participants, kids, etc., but we enjoyed it.

I think they have it weekly throughout the summer.

The food looked great, but, we had already eaten not knowing what they had.

Its comparable to the Cody Rodeo.

Thanks. I may have to check it out. I guess after riding all day and then supper, I am usually ready to chill and then bed. I had a blast at the Cody rodeo. The clown made the show. Last year, I did the rodeo at Bryce Canyon. Not that great.

Hope you have a great trip. Just getting out west is a blast. It is a shame it takes two or three days to get there from here. Every year I go, I come home and try to talk my wife into moving out there somewhere. Lol No luck.

I don't like clowns! I have clown-a-fobia.
