Default How Many Miles Per Day?

How many miles do you usually run per day on a multi day trip? For me it is about 200 to 300 miles in a day. I know not much and I could do more but that’s about my comfort zone with rest stops, taking pictures and checking things out along the way.

My buddy and I ride for as long as we feel comfortable... no specific distance or time. We ride based on weather, riding conditions, how we feel... anywhere from 6 to 10 hours usually. We take stops at least every couple hours or 200 miles for fuel and a break. We have always rode what, when, and where we wanted. We just don't put restrictions or specific times/distances on our trips. We are all for comfort and enjoyable rides!!

Depends on if the wife is on the back or if I am riding with a buddy that I know would rather ride than sit in a hotel. When I am trying to get somewhere on the slab I will do 600-750 miles in a day. I try to keep it at 400 if the wife is on the back. Things like weather play a role as well. I am not doing 700 in the rain or frigid cold. Back roads usually are 400ish

Well, we came back from Daytona to Virginia in about 12 hours, about 840 miles this march, we were hitting it hard pretty much the whole way. Anywhere from 500 to 900 miles depending on the weather these days. My longest ride was 1430 miles in 24 hours from Cape Breton, Canada to Winchester, VA. Not doing that again, lol!

For me, riding is a pleasure, NOT a point A-to-point-B task.

Depending on scenery, weather, traffic, roads, etc. I try to do 400+miles per day with a break every two hours or so and my favorite riding hours are between 9:00AM to 6:00PM.

I really like to be off of the road in time for a shower, early dinner, a little socializing and a few cold ones before bed time.

I live in ND 520 MILES TO THE BLACK HILLS. I like a 700 + first day. That can get me to Cheyenne wy ,going to colorado, cody wy, hav're MT , going to glacier, great falls MT. You get the idea after that i plan 300-350 miles. With the understanding that I get to where I get. For some reason when it comes to pulling over I prefer to just keep riding.

Not as much as I used to. I haven't even had a day where I was going more than 200-250 in several years. When I retire next year I will find out. I imagine 300-350 will be plenty for me with ample stops for a stretch.

Kind of depends on my mood and where I'm going. I've gotten to the point where it's more about the journey than the miles.

On my Alaska Run, 13,000 miles over 8 weeks, probably 250 a day average .... stop lots, take pictures & smell the flowers... rest day every 5 days or so..... the big mile days don’t interest me much anymore.

I've done 450 with a windshield, I'm usually beat around 300 w/o a windshield. Haven't gotten to do anything long distance on my Utra Classic yet. Looking to attempt Phoenix to Colorado Springs sometime this summer hopefully.
