Default Colorado Trip

My fiance and i are planning a Colorado trip for the first week in July. We will be trailering the bike up from South Texas and have about 3 days to ride around the Denver area. I have been on motorcycleroads.com trying to plan out our rides but there are a lot of great roads in the area. I could use a little help narrowing it down to the absolute must ride roads. Any input and suggestions would be appreciated.

I rode Pikes Peak by myself last year when i rode up to Sturgis. Plan on riding it again if time allows. So far my list contains Trail Ridge Rd., Golden Gate Canyon Rd., Peak to Peak Highway, High 5 to Mt Evans, and HWY 66/103 Evergreen Parkway.

Best ride I can think of in this area. Poudre Canyon Rd (Hwy 14) from Fort Collins to Walden. Hwy 125 from Walden to Grandby. Grandby back over to Estes via Trail Ridge Rd. (RMNP) Just an amazing ride!!! About 6 hours or so. Crosses the Continental divide twice.

Also no matter what wear either a Full face or at least a 3/4 with shield minimum while in Colorado. I got lucky and never got hailed on and only a couple of miles of rain the week I was out there. Many others haven't been so lucky. It really likes to hail in Colorado a LOT!!!

Skip the tunnels and do Loveland Pass instead without adding too much time to the route. COntinue on through Keystone back to the route pictured.
