Hey guys- Heading to Outer Banks next Friday. What are some things I "can't miss" While I am there. I have never been.

 

Kitty Hawk Kites, they will set you up with an instructor in a small group and a hang glider and go off one of the dunes 6' to 8' off the ground for 80 feet or so. Pretty cool.

 

Keep an eye on the weather forecasts and know where the higher elevations are in case of a serious storm.

We were down there a couple of years ago and it was an enjoyable vacation but a couple of weeks later there area that we stayed in had water about 3ft deep!

Other than the nice weather and warm breezes, my favorite memories of our (my second time there) was riding the ferry over to the island for lunch and then having dinner here:

if so inclined you can tour the many lighthouses along the outer banks...but be mindful of the ferry schedule when planning
